Ulahalanda Perumal Temple
One of the oldest temples in Kancheepuram, the Ulahalanda Perumal Temple is located at a distance of about half a kilometer from the main centre of the city. This temple is located near to the Kamakshi Amman Temple and is one of the most visitd of the religious places in Kancheepuram. The main attraction of the temple is the 35 feet high image of the deity of the Ulahalanda Perumal Temple. This image is a representative of ‘Vamana Roopam’, whose incarnation saved the ‘Devas’ from the hands of the demon King Mahabali.
