Lord Vinayaga is venerated as the foremost God of the Universe. He is glorified as the chief of the Vedas he is the flame of wisdom. One of the famous Vinayagar Temple is one at Eachanari, which is situatedon the Pollachi highway 9 Kms away from Coimbatore.
It is said that when the Vinayaga idol measuring 6 feet high and 3 feet in diameter was being transported from Madurai in a cart for installation at Patteeswarar Temple, Perur, the axle of the cart broke and it became scated in the place where it is now. Efforts to remove the idol to perur did not materialize and this place where the Lord Graces is popularly known as Eachanari Vinayaga Temple.
Under the Presidentship of Sri.N.Mahalingam and the //vice presidentship of Shri.P.K.Duraisamy the renovation commitee, renovated the present temple and the consecration ceremony was conducted with in the splendor presence of Kanchi Kamakodi Peetam Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal.
The administration of the temple was handed over to HR&CE on 05-08-1977 and the annual income from the temple was just Rs.67,736/-.
Due to the efficient administration the annual income whichwas as low as Rs.67,736/- grew by leaps and bounds to more than Rs.30 Lakh in just 15 years. This increase in annual income year after year in comparison with other temples is a testimony for efficient administration. The annual income of the year fasali 1417 is Rs.1,31,04,611/-. This temple has been upgraded to the level of Assistant Commissioner.

Gold Chariot
Rs.55 lakhs has been spent to build a golden chariot for this temple. Since 14-07-1998 this scheme has been doing well. After obtaining Rs.1600 from the sevarthigal, every evening around 7 O’clock, God’s procession in this golden chariot takes place. Rs.15000 is obtained from those who wish God’s procession in the golden chariot to take place on a day they want to. And from the interest obtained this procession takes place once a year. You can also deposit Rs.15000 and befenit from joining this scheme.
Ganapathy Homam
Every day at early morning 5.30am, Ganapathy Homam is conducted. For that, Rs.1500 is charged from the sevarthigal, who wants to conduct this Pooja. Sevarthigal who is interested to conduct Ganapathy Homam on special occasions such as their Wedding day, Birthday, Business anniversary day, Children’s birthday, etc., have to deposit Rs.15000. Pooja is conducted in the name of the sevarthigal from the interest amount of their yearly deposit of Rs.15000. So far, there are 372 members in this scheme. You can also register yourself to get Lord Vinayaga’s Blessings!
Free Marriage Scheme
This temple arranges free marriages of socially down trodden people as per the direction given by the Honourable Chief Minister of TamilNadu..
Ashram
This temple runs “Anbu Illam” with 25 students and provides them with free lodging and boarding and free supply of books and cloths to the students which is appreciated by general public.

Worship Time :
This Temple is opened at 5am everyday and is closed at 10pm without any break of worship time. Everyday “Ganapathy Homam” is performed by Kattalaitharars as on date 350 Kattalaitharars for “Ganapathy Homam” regularly performed each day. For performing “Ganapathy Homam Pooja”, the Kattalaitharar has to pay Rs.15,000/- that amount will be deposited and the interest accured on deposit will be utilised the “Ganapathy Homam” Pooja every year as requested by the Kattalaitharar.
